Hello! I’m Ari. I’m a writer from Austin, Texas. I love words…a little bit too much. So, I started this blog! Here, I write down all my ruminations…which encompass a lot. On my blog, you’ll find my thoughts regarding books I’ve read, social issues, thoughts on social interactions, and some political commentary–just to name a few. If you manage to get through some (or one) of my blog posts and would like to read my take on a topic you have in mind, by all means, contact me! I also do freelance work and have written for various publications. Head on down to my professional portfolio to check out some of the writing I’ve done for which I’ve received the means to eat dinner.

Besides writing, some other things I love are reading (duh!), french fries (easiest way to bribe me), music (Beyoncé is my soul sister, Lin Manuel is my dream brunch date, and I envy Sara Bareilles’s vocal and songwriting abilities), and fashion. Like, when I’m not writing, eating french fries, or pretending to exercise, I am on Pinterest or online shopping (but mostly window shopping…hello, rent). I write the fashion column for Forty Magazine, which is mostly geared towards professional attire. To get a sense of my personal style, though, check out my Polyvore page. Among my favorite designers, some of which I can almost afford and most of which I cannot, are Tom Ford, The Row, Saint Laurent, Rag and Bone, and Theory. Most of my outfits incorporate a mix of luxury and high street designers. I’ve also started gravitating towards ethical clothing brands–some favorites are Reformation, Everlane, and Fortress of Inca.
