PSA: The Media’s Influence on Girls’ Body Image

This is the PSA I composed for my digital writing class. It addresses the issue of the media’s influence on girls’ body image and what we can do to help girls develop a positive body image. The previous post discusses my reflections on my PSA, including the process of composing the PSA.

The music used in the PSA is “Perfect” by Pink. No copyright infringement intended.

  1. Great job! It turned out really good. Ripping the negative comments sent a effective message to tune out the media’s description of beauty, and embrace the qualities that make us unique. I thought this was a great topic that should be addressed more often.

  2. I’m impressed with how much you managed to convey in such a short amount of time. I really like the transition from the black-and-white video to the color video, it really reinforces your message.
